OUR STORY
The Debusk Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1974 by a group of dedicated community members who recognized the need for local fire protection. Over the decades, it has grown into a well-equipped department ready to serve the Debusk community.
OUR APPARATUS
The Debusk Volunteer Fire Department maintains a specialized fleet of emergency vehicles to provide the best possible service to our community and Greene County.
Primary Fire Engine equipped for structural fire suppression and initial attack.
Rescue Engine equipped with specialized tools for vehicle extrication and technical rescue.
Water Tanker used to provide a mobile water supply in areas without fire hydrants.
A specialized 4x4 unit designed for off-road wildland and brush fire response.
County-Wide Service: This specialized unit provides rehabilitation services (food, hydration, and climate-controlled rest) for firefighters working long-duration incidents throughout Greene County.

OUR MISSION
The mission of the Debusk Volunteer Fire Department is to protect the lives, property, and environment of the community through prompt emergency response, dedicated volunteer service, public education, and a commitment to excellence in fire protection, rescue, rehabilitation, and community safety.
WHAT WE DO
Response to structural, wildland, and vehicle fires with modern tactics and equipment.
Vehicle extrication, water rescue, and search & rescue capabilities.
Assisting Greene County EMS with lift assists and establishing Landing Zones (LZ) for medivac helicopters.
Education programs for local schools and free residential smoke alarm installations.
