Become a part of something bigger. As a volunteer with Debusk Fire & Rescue, you'll gain valuable skills, meet dedicated community members, and most importantly, make a real difference in people's lives when they need it most.
AVAILABLE ROLES
Certified through the State of Tennessee for interior structural fire suppression and rescue operations.
Specialized in exterior fire suppression, water supply operations, and scene safety.
Assist with equipment, hydration, and logistics during long-duration emergency incidents.
Support the department by helping organize and run our vital community fundraising events.
JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER PROGRAM
Debusk VFD is proud to host an active Junior Firefighter Program. This program allows young members of our community to learn about the fire service, gain valuable skills, and prepare for a future as a full member of the department. We currently have several active junior members who are an essential part of our team.
HOW TO APPLY
If you're ready to serve, we'd love to have you. Here's what you need to know:
Must be at least 18 years old for adult membership.
Junior Firefighter Program is available for those interested in starting early (ages 14-17).
Live or work in or near our response district.
Pass a background check.
Commit to training and call responses.
Stop by the station any Monday evening at 7:00 PM to pick up an application and meet the crew! We hold our official business meeting on the first Monday of every month, and we conduct training on all other Monday nights.
